The objective of this study was to assess the pharmacokinetics and safety of doxycycline and compare it with its other available formulations (doxycycline, ciprofloxacin, and levofloxacin).

We used the method of dose modification with respect to the following:

  • Dosage adjustment: The daily dose of doxycycline should be adjusted by dividing it into two equal doses of 1 mg and 1 mg/kg body weight.
  • The dosing interval should be modified based on the individual pharmacokinetic parameters of the drugs in the same dose. For example, in the case of levofloxacin, the maximum daily dose should be 25 mg, and in the case of doxycycline, the maximum daily dose should be 50 mg.

Active Ingredients:Each tablet contains 100mg of doxycycline (as doxycycline monohydrate).

The first time I asked about doxycycline, I was surprised to learn that the antibiotic used to treat Lyme disease is not the same as the antibiotic used to treat the bacteria that causes it. When I looked up the information that comes to the pharmacy, it says that the bacteria that cause Lyme disease may not be resistant to doxycycline. The bacteria may respond to doxycycline, but they may not. They may be resistant to another antibiotic, or they may be resistant to a different drug. The bacteria that cause Lyme disease may also not be susceptible to another drug or to other antibiotics. This information doesn’t include all the different types of antibiotics that may interact with doxycycline. It does not include all the different types of antibiotics that can be used to treat Lyme disease. It also does not include all the different types of drugs that can be used to treat Lyme disease. For example, the antibiotic azithromycin is not effective against Lyme disease. It may not be effective against Lyme disease, but it can be effective against bacteria that can be resistant to doxycycline. Other antibiotics, such as erythromycin and clarithromycin, are also effective against bacterial resistance to doxycycline. The bacteria that cause Lyme disease may not be susceptible to other antibiotics. These antibiotics can be used to treat other infections. For example, azithromycin can be used to treat infections caused by the bacterium E. coli.
